My daughter was killed for opposing conversion

Hubballi (Karnataka) – The accused in the Neha Hiremath murder case, Fayaz Khondunaik, has given clear information to the Police about a total of 8 people who helped him. However, excluding Fayaz’s arrest, the Police have done nothing else, said Neha’s father and Congress corporator Niranjan Hiremath. He added, “The Police did not even take any action to get more information from us about the investigation of this case. The case should be handed over to the CBI. I have requested the Union Government that the CBI should investigate the matter. It doesn’t matter if I lose my life; I am committed to ensure that whoever took my daughter’s life will be punished.”

Talking to a news channel, he said that only if Fayaz gets severe punishment, Neha’s soul will rest in peace. My daughter has been murdered for resisting conversion; but I am not sure that my daughter will get justice. The Police are behaving as if they are puppets in someone’s hand. Efforts are being made by the State Government to save the accused. Hiremath also said that if the investigation is not transferred to the CBI, I will have to take the law into my hands and give justice to my daughter.

Editorial Perspectives

• Unless and until a Hindu family itself faces the trauma, it merely watches other Hindus suffer with an indifferent attitude. Most Hindus are silent on the conspiracies like love jihad, conversion, ‘Gazwa-e-Hind’ (Islamisation of India). At least now, all the Hindus need to wake up from the example of this Congress corporator.

• Lesson for Congress from within the party. From this example of a corporator who does not believe in his own party, it is clear that the credibility of the Indian citizens towards Congress party has been destroyed.
