Hatred cloaked in ‘Mamata’ (Love)

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee

Indians are aware of Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s Hindu hatred, treason, communalism, religious violence. Her soft corner for the minorities and shelter to intruders, are aspects that are well-known.

The arrogant statements she has started making of late is an addition to her personality traits. Her statements during the recent Eid programmes are a sort of challenge to the Union Government. She said, “We will not allow implementation of Citizenship Amendment Act, National Citizenship Register and Uniform Civil Code in Bengal. Some people will try to create riots during election time; but do not fall into their trap”. In fact, everyone knows who resorts to violence and rioting in India, so also who is responsible for the bloody conflict during violence and riots. But Mamata does not utter a word about it.

This is a typical mentality of protecting her people and blaming others. In fact, only an anti-democratic individual can dare to speak against the country in which he lives and directly reject or disobey the laws in force. Such an individual has little faith in India and Indianness. We get to experience this aspect through Mamata’s behaviour.

Those who make such statements should first understand the definition of Democracy. Mamata stays in India alright, but does not listen to the Union Government but sticks to her own views. If she continues to not agree to follow the rules and laws of India, then Indians, and alternately the Hindus, will think that she should go to Bangladesh.

Mamata’s intention behind this thought process is that external conditions should not have any adverse effect on her kin, the minorities in Bengal, and that the places of worship of all religions other than those of Hindus should continue to exist. Hindus are not so naive that they will not understand this.

Yet, Mamata’s expectation is that the places of worship of other religions remain untouched, she should get the bulk votes of other religions, and her crown of Chief Ministership remains intact. Mamata tries hard to get sympathy from the category of people who have bulk votes. These aspects about Mamata Banerjee are nothing new; yet, they cannot be ignored because by appeasing the fundamentalists, this woman is taking India towards the depths of destruction. Therefore, it is the duty of every citizen to carefully study such personalities, and from time to time, raise their voice against them.

The consequences of Mamata’s dramatics

Some years ago, Mamata had shamelessly said about Prime Minister Narendra Modi – “I have never seen a fake Prime Minister like Modi. I am tempted to slap him”. Her speeches do not have restraints. She only knows how to keep talking. Such statements enrage everyone and the people of Bengal should have opposed her for this. But this has neither happened nor is it likely to. Hence, Mamata keeps taking advantage of the situation.

It has become her daily routine to take an anti-National stance and speak against the country. On the occasion of Eid, she spoke about having goodwill towards people of all religions. In fact, it is clear that her statement is pure hypocrisy or drama. Such talk is nothing short of verbal froth. How can those who have nothing to do with the Nation, be sensitive about Hindu Dharma ? This is the same Mamata Banerjee who disrespected the National Anthem 3 years ago. It is the misfortune of Bengalis to have such an individual as their Chief Minister.

Just one word defines what Mamata has done for the Hindus in Bengal so far – Nothing. On the contrary, if asked what she has done for the minorities there, the list would be endless.

Trying to suppress the atrocities in Sandeshkhali

The Calcutta High Court has recently ordered a CBI inquiry into the Sandeshkhali case in Bengal. The inquiry will bring to light the real mastermind of this case and expose the related conspiracy.

So far Mamata Banerjee’s Government has tried to suppress any inquiry into this case. In fact, Mamata has remained silent for years when women were being brutally abused on such a large scale, and instead, she politicised this heinous crime. This is utterly shameful for one who is a Chief Minister. What sort of mamata (Love) does Mamata, the CM, display in protecting criminals and letting the victims suffer ? It is all the more infuriating that such a situation has arisen even though the Chief Minister is a woman.

Officers deputed to investigate the Sandeshkhali case were prevented from visiting the place. Some officers were even beaten up. The whole country has witnessed this. Mamata probably does not know that even if the cock does not crow, the sun will rise !

Seeing the gravity of the offence, the Calcutta High Court was compelled to say that even if there is 1% truth in the Sandeshkhali case, it will be an embarrassment to the Government. Mamata Banerjee has been and continues to only appease the minorities; and in doing so, there are no limits for her. It remains to be seen who will bring such politics under control and how.

Due to atrocities on women in Bengal in 2021, Dr Pramod Sawant, the Chief Minister of Goa had condemned the Trinamool Congress, but Mamata is not the one who will take corrective steps to prevent repetition; hence, the Sandeshkhali episode.

Under Mamata Banerjee, Bengal is fast transforming into a Bangladesh, and this needs to be stopped in time. For this, Indians should unite and save Bengal from burning under Mamata’s regime. The Union Government should also take timely action.

It is the duty of every citizen to carefully study personalities like Mamata, and from time to time, raise their voice against them !
