After Indian foreign minister’s visit, Philippines warns without explicitly naming China
Beijing (China) – “We do not want conflict with any country. We do not want to fight, especially with countries that claim to be our friends; but we will not remain silent. Filipinos will not bow. We will act against our enemies, “posted Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos on ‘X’, referring to China. Indian Foreign Minister Dr S Jaishankar had recently visited the Philippines. ‘We are with you in the South China Sea dispute,’ he had said. Hence, Marcos statement is being looked at as backed by India.

1. The Philippines and China have been in dispute over the South China Sea boundary for decades. Philippines fleet and Chinese coast guard clashed in the South China Sea. Since then, the two countries have been engaged in a verbal war.
