Bengaluru (Karnataka) – The Police have arrested all 6 individuals involved in the assault of a shopkeeper for playing Hanuman Chalisa in his mobile phone shop at Jumma Masjid Marg in the Nagarathpet area. The arrested individuals include Suleman, Shahnawaz, Rohit, Danish, Tarun alias Dadiya, and a minor. The Court ordered the minor to be held in a juvenile detention centre, while the others were remanded in the judicial custody. Notably, the initial Police report did not mention that the assault was prompted due to playing of Hanuman Chalisa. Suleman, the main perpetrator, works as a rental vehicle driver and has a history of previous offenses. Shahnawaz is currently unemployed, while Rohit is involved in supplying medicines to drug stores. Tarun previously worked as a ward-boy in a private hospital. Additionally, Suleman and his associates are also accused of assaulting a hotel owner named Satish in a separate incident.

Today jail, tomorrow bail, the cycle continues !

Sulaiman’s brother posts a WhatsApp status

Despite the arrest of these 6 individuals by the Police, religious fanatics remain undeterred. Sulaiman’s brother, Syed, conveyed this sentiment through his WhatsApp status. The status message read, ‘Today jail, tomorrow bail, the cycle (of crime) continues !’ Syed is reportedly a minor. (This incident shows that the mentality of even minor religious fanatics is dangerous – Editor).

Editorial Perspectives

Such conduct by the Police suggests they are helping the perpetrators. There seems to be minimal likelihood of stringent action against such criminals in a Congress-governed State.

Will those shouting ‘Muslims are unsafe in India’ speak about this now ?
