Surveillance of Maldives’ internal territory should not concern ‘external parties’ : President Muizzu states without naming India
Male (Maldives) – “The Maldives isn’t a small nation and is capable of monitoring its jurisdiction. The steps taken by us for the surveillance of the Maldives’ territory should not concern any external parties”, stated President Muizzu’s while speaking at the ceremony to launch the Maldives National Defence Force’s (MNDF) Air Corps and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
Without naming any country President Muizzu stated that Maldives is an independent and sovereign nation and that surveillance of the Maldives’ jurisdiction should not concern any external parties. He expressed the importance of the Maldives navigating its course towards self-reliance and remaining an independent and sovereign nation in every aspect. President Muizzu said that Maldives is populated by people different race, religions, and cultures; but we try that the policies are in the common interest of the entire populace, despite varying ideologies. He added that this would not impede the Maldives’ close relations with all countries.
