100 people from 25 Hindu families fled Bangladesh and took refuge in India due to attacks of fanatic Muslim

Kolkata (Bengal) – A Bangladeshi national after taking refuge in India said, “This (pre and post-poll violence) has caused such fear among the Hindus of Ujirpur that since 7th January as many as 100 persons from 25 families, including children; did not waste much time to pack up and leave for their safety to West Bengal.” In Bangladesh, Hindus who face persecution like murder, rape, attacks on temples, land grabbing etc. have to live under the shadow of fear.

1. The minority Hindu community in Bangladesh has been living under constant fear for their lives, but tensions escalate around the election periods as Islamist frenzied mobs indulge in unabated pre and post-poll violence targetting Hindu families. Since the federal elections were conducted in Bangladesh on 7th January this year, reports of Hindus facing arson attacks and being forced to flee their homes have surfaced from India’s Eastern neighbour.

2. When the elections came in Bangladesh, the atrocities against the minority Hindus increased. Before the elections, fanatic Muslims targeted Hindus. Parliament elections were held in Bangladesh on 7th January this year. In these violent incidences, Islamists associated with the Awami League attacked the houses of Hindus who supported candidates from other parties or independents.

Editorial Perspective

This situation is despite Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina having close relations with the Indian Government. Since this relationship has no benefit for Hindus, it is necessary to establish Hindu Rashtra to protect the Hindus of Pakistan and Bangladesh.
