Ajmer Sharif Dargah, earlier Durga Mandir, needs to be surveyed by ASI : Demand  pro-Hindu organisations in Rajasthan

Complaints registered by Dargah against pro-Hindu organisations

Jaipur (Rajasthan) –  Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Dargah also known as Ajmer Sharif Dargah was a Hindu Temple earlier; therefore, it should be surveyed by the Archaeology Survey of India (ASI), demanded Maharana Pratap Sena and Hindu Shakti Dal through a letter written to State Chief Minister (CM) Bhajanlal Sharma. A similar letter demanding a survey has also been written to the District Collector.

Swastik symbols can be seen even today on the doors of Dargah

Maharana Pratap Sena’s President Rajvardhan Singh Parmar said that Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Dargah was originally an old Durga Temple. It was destroyed by the Muslim invaders and Dargah was built over the same. Swastik symbols can be seen even today on the doors of this Darga. The signs of Swastik prove the place belonged to Hindus.

Dargah Diwan and Khadim registered a complaint

Dewan Zainul Abedin’s son Syed Naseeruddin Chishti registered a complaint with the Dargah Police Station. Dargah Khadim Shakeel Abbasi registered a complaint with Ajmer’s Clock Tower Police Station. Police Officer Narendra Jakhar of Dargah Police Station said that as per the complaint registered by Naseeruddin, the Hindu Shakti Dal tried to provoke religious sentiments by claiming the Dargah as a temple. The issue has been sent to the Minority Commission. The Commission has asked for a report on the matter within a week from the Ajmer District Administration. A delegation of Khadim submitted a memorandum to the additional District Collector demanding a ban on comments made on Dargah.
