108 illegal structures demolished in Gujarat so far

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) – The campaign to remove encroachments in the State is going on in full swing. The campaign started from Bet Dwarka and has now reached Surat, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Pavagadh, and Ahmedabad. Illegal encroachments near the Somnath temple have also been removed. So far, 108 illegal structures have been demolished in the State.

“Where did the large number of encroachments near the Junagadh Fort come from?”, no one knows. How could these encroachments be built so quickly ? Our bulldozers are ready to demolish every illegal structure built by conspiracy, said Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly.

Permission to play Garba all night in the State

Regarding permitting to play Garba all night during Navratri in the state, Harsh Sanghavi told the House, “If people will not play Garba in my State, will they go to Pakistan and play ?”

Editorial Perspectives

  • It is necessary to prioritise the demolition of illegal structures from where anti-India and anti-Hindu activities are carried out. Not only that but there needs to be a vigilant administration and Police force to ensure that they are never rebuilt.
  • A capable system needs to be created in India that will not allow encroachments to happen in the first place.
