Jodhpur (Rajasthan) – More than ten Muslim female students in the Pipar area, adamant about wearing hijab to school, stirred up a commotion here. During this incident, Councillor Muzaffar Khalifa also made an appearance. He also threatened that the Government is there today, and tomorrow it will not be there, but the teachers are always going to be here, who will have to bear the brunt of it.
After the teachers objected to the dress of the Muslim students who arrived wearing hijab, the school principal sent the students home to call their parents. Ruckus ensued when the students returned to school with their parents.
Principal Ram Kishor Sankhla said, “The girls arrived at school with their heads and faces veiled. So, they were denied permission to attend the class. Only uniform prescribed by the Government is allowed in the school but the family members protested and created a ruckus. At this time, Councillor Khalifa also reached there. Upon receiving reports of the incident, the Police arrived there and diffused the situation.”
