Abu Dhabi, UAE – BAPS Temple built in the desert is the largest Hindu Temple in West Asia. The inauguration of the Hindu temple on 14th February was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On this occasion, the programme named ‘Harmony’, was organised on behalf of the temple on 15th February. On behalf of Sanatan Sanstha, it was attended by Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale’s spiritual heirs Shrisatshakti (Mrs) Binda Nilesh Singbal and Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Mukul Gadgil. This temple will be opened for all from 1st March 2024.

Three bricks in the Name of 3 Gurus of Sanatan Sanstha were offered for the construction of the temple
In July 2022, Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil was on a research visit to the United Arab Emirates. On 27th July 2022, She visited the BAPS Hindu temple site and inspected its construction. At that time, She worshipped and offered 3 bricks for the construction of the temple in the Name of 3 Gurus of Sanatan Sanstha (Sachchidananda Parabrahman [Dr] Athavale, Shrisatshakti [Mrs] Binda Singbal and Shrichitshakti [Mrs] Anjali Gadgil). Officer of the BAPS Mandir Mr Ravindra Kadam had made the preparation for the puja of the bricks and appraised Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil about the details and features of the temple.

The office bearer of the temple Mr Ravindra Kadam had sent an official invitation on behalf of the temple to Shrisatshakti (Mrs) Binda Singbal and Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil to attend the inaugural function.
Honourable presence during the special programme organised on the occasion of temple inauguration
On the occasion of the inauguration of the temple, a special programme Harmony was organised under the chairmanship of the head of the temple Mahant Swami Maharaj. Gurus and their disciples of Hindu Dharma. Various representatives of Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, Jews and Sikhs Sects were present for this programme. A special representative of the Church in Vatican City, as well as a special representative of the Jewish religion of Israel were also present on this occasion. Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avadheshanand of Akhara at Haridwar was the Chief Guest. The programme was coordinated by the Personal Advisors to the President of the United Arab Emirates. Swami Brahmaviharidas Maharaj delivered the welcome speech.

Shrisatshakti (Mrs) Binda Singbal and Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil also attended the event. Before this programme, all the special invitees went to the temple and had darshan. Shrisatshakti (Mrs) Binda Singbal and Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil were accompanied by temple’s sevadhari (Servitor) Mrs Sheetal Tank during the temple darshan and gave Them information about the temple. The office bearer of the temple Mr Ravindra Kadam was also present. On this occasion, the seekers doing the video shooting Mr Snehal Raut and Mr Vinayak Shanbhag were given a special pass on behalf of the temple.
Unique features of the temple
BAPS Hindu temple is the first Hindu temple in the United Arab Emirates and this magnificent temple has been built on a total of 27 acres of land. The walls of this temple have pictures of Ramayan, Shiva Puran and Bhagawan Jagannath’s chariot procession. Apart from this, a Ganga ghat has been constructed near the temple. The confluence of Ganga-Yamuna and Saraswati is also depicted in this temple.In addition, this temple also houses the temples of Shri Akshar Purushottam Bhagawan, Shri Radha-Krushna, Prabhu Shriram-Sita, Shri Shiva-Parvati, Bhagawan Jagannath, Bhagawan Shrinivasa-Padmavati Devi and Bhagawan Ayyappa Swamy.
