People in a French village are leaning towards banning the use of smartphones in public places
Support from 54% voters
Paris (France) – It has come to light that the French village of Seine Port has made special efforts to get rid of smartphone addiction. Here, a vote was taken to ban smartphones in public places. Surprisingly, 54% of people in this poll voted in favour of banning smartphones. Not only that, but shopkeepers in the village have also been requested to “motivate people coming to you to reduce mobile phone usage and put-up restriction stickers outside the shop”.
1. Not only that, but for the first time in France, a written order will also be issued by the local administration on the use of smartphones. However, since there is no law at the national level, no action can be taken against the guilty.
2. In France, smartphones and “screen time” (the amount of time spent using mobile phones during the day) are becoming a political issue. Recently, President Emmanuel Macron said that he will discuss with experts to ensure the best use of screens for children.
3. Along with this, some guidelines have been issued for the parents. These include not allowing their children to use mobile phones in the bedroom. They will also not be given a mobile phone until they are 15. Of course, there is also opposition to this from children.
4. A few days ago, in another European country, Iceland, an establishment organised a unique competition. The competition was that the contestants would not be able to use their mobile phones for a month. This is called ‘digital detox’. This means keeping yourself away from any digital device you have.

Editorial Perspective
This is the result of excessive and uncontrolled use of electronic devices. Science has deteriorated the mental health of society. As a result, such voting and attempts to impose restrictions are now beginning. These efforts are also superficial, and spiritual-based scientific development is more beneficial for a restrained and contented life. |
