Islamabad / Lahore – The process of Government formation has gained momentum in Pakistan. The alliance between Nawaz Sharif’s Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is considered almost certain. There was a talk that the leaders of both the parties would hold the Prime Minister’s position for two-and-a-half years each; but now ‘PPP’ has withdrawn this demand and announced to support Nawaz Sharif’s party from outside.
PML-N’s spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Nawaz Sharif has nominated his younger brother Shehbaz Sharif as the Prime Ministerial candidate and daughter Marriyum Nawaz for the Chief Ministership of Punjab province.
Pakistan should be taken out of the crisis and put on the path of development ! – Zardari
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said, “We are withdrawing our claim from the post of Prime Minister. I and my party do not want to see any new problem in the country. We also do not want re-elections. Therefore, we will not ask for the post of Prime Minister and will not participate in the Government. However, the Speaker of the Parliament will be from our party. The reason behind this decision is to take Pakistan out of crisis on the path of development.
