Whose hands got black in the coal scam ? : Union FM Nirmala Sitharaman hits out at Congress
New Delhi – A white paper (Information presented on an important topic) on the economy was tabled in the Lok Sabha on 8th February. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman addressed Parliament on 9th February. She said “The Indian economy has now jumped to the fifth position. During the United Progressive Alliance’s (UPA) rule, nothing much happened to raise the level of the economy. During his tenure of ten years, the Indian economy was in a very fragile state. Whose hands got black in the coal scam ? Just look at it. Prime Minister has corrected your mistake’’.
Important points presented by Sitharaman
1. During our tenure of 10 years, we have brought the Indian economy to the top five economies of the world. The ‘White Paper’ that we have presented is presented with responsibility.
2. During the UPA period, there were many scams like the Common-wealth Games scam, Coal scam, etc. It tarnished the image of the country.
3. Coal scams have caused huge losses to the country. No new employment could be created in the country for a long time. We also had to import coal.
4. Corona epidemic crisis happened when our Government was in power. However, we faced this crisis under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The economy moved from the 11th position to the fifth position, still strengthening our economy.
5. Today’s opposition party is shedding crocodile tears.
