Occasion of the Amrut Mahotsav of H.H. Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj
Alandi (Maharashtra) – “The pranapratishtha of Shriramlalla at Ayodhya Temple on 22 nd January was a God’s wish. We are fortunate to witness the beginning of the construction of the temple. Shriramlalla’s Darshan has been started at Ayodhya as it was predestined. Similarly, H.H. Govind Dev Giri Maharaj’s Amrut Mahotsav too, was predestined”, stated H.H. Sarsanghchalak (Dr) Mohan Bhagawat while addressing the gathering at ‘Geeta Bhakti Amrut Mahotsav’ organised on the occasion of the 75 th birthday of H.H. Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj on 5 th February 2024.
The other dignitaries sharing the dais were H.H. Jagadguru Dwaracharya Swami Shri Rajendradas Maharaj, H.H. Balyogi Shri Sadanand Maharaj, H.H. Ha.Bha.Pa. Bandatatya Maharaj and Jain Muni Lokesh Maharaj. After the ceremony, there was a discourse on ‘Shrimadbhagawat Katha’ by H.H. Jagadguru Dwaracharya Swami Shri Rajendradas Maharaj which was attended with enthusiasm and devotion by the devotees. A ‘Granth Shobhayatra’ was conducted at 8:00 a.m.
H.H. Sarsanghchalak (Dr) Mohan Bhagawat said,
1. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj established ‘Hindavi Swarajya’ with the perspective that it was God’s wish, and he was just a medium to carry out the same. It is, therefore, the mission destined to happen as God’s planning. All members should, therefore, leave everything to God and dedicate themselves to the mission, without expecting anything in return.
2. People are misled by taking out selective portion from ‘Puranas’, ‘Ramayan’, ‘Geeta’, and ‘Mahabharat’, and this is creating problems. It is necessary to spread the truth from these ancient scriptures to avoid misconceptions among people, and we should work for this purpose.
3. The world is facing various problems and needs India as a saviour. Knowledge is not gained only with faith, but one needs to have devotion too.

H.H. Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj said, “Saint Dnyaneshwar took live samadhi at Alandi. Warakaris therefore, feel blissful at Alandi. I also like Alandi. I am happy because my associates and colleagues are being honoured. It is as good as my honour. Whether I exist or not, my India should exist, is my purpose.”
