Two Police constables suspended for negligence in duty
The incident of barbaric Tipu Sultan’s portrait garlanded with slippers (footwear)
Raichur (Karnataka) – At Sirawara from Manavi taluka in Raichur District, unknown miscreants garlanded the portrait of Tipu Sultan with slippers. In this case, two Police constables have been arrested for negligence in duty. An arrest has been made on the orders of the Superintendent of Police (Raichur) B Nikhil. Constables of Sirawara Police Station Ismail and Revanasiddha were on duty that night. They were arrested for not being diligent in their duty that night.
1. Tipu Sultan’s portrait has been installed at the Tipu Circle in the Mutton Bazar area of Sirawara. That night some unknown miscreants garlanded the portrait with slippers. Seeing this, Muslim leaders expressed immense anger. (Actually, action should have been taken against the individual who installed the picture of the barbaric Tipu Sultan, who was responsible for the murder of Hindus. But Tipu is being glorified in Karnataka. This is outrageous ! – Editor).
2. The Muslims organised a road-block agitation demanding that the antisocial elements be arrested promptly. This caused tension in the Sirawara town. The agitators sat on the road and disrupted traffic. They expressed their anger by burning tyres on the road.
3. The Police rushed to the site and assured the Muslims that the culprits would arrested within 24 hours. (If the Police show the same promptness for the Hindu cause, then the arrogance of religious fanatics in Karnataka will be under control – Editor).
4. 3 suspects were taken into custody for interrogation based on the CCTV footage. Thereafter, a youth named Akash has accepted the responsibility for the crime.
Editorial Perspective
The Congress Government of Karnataka promptly acted against Tipu Sultan’s insult, held the Police constables responsible and suspended them. Please note that the same Government does not take any action against the Police who are unable to prevent riots caused by religious fanatics or the murders of devout Hindus. |
