Mufti Salman Azhari spews venom : Today is the time of dogs (Hindus), tomorrow will be ours

Junagadh’s (Gujarat) Mufti Salman Azhari delivers hate speech after the Hindus started worshipping in Gyanvapi

Mufti Salman Azhari

Junagadh (Gujarat) – After Hindus resumed worship at Gyanvapi in Varanasi, fanatical Muslim leaders have become furious. A  video  of a Muslim cleric inciting people against Hindus is going viral on social media. The person identified as Mufti Salman Azhari can be heard giving a venomous speech. The video is said to be from a Muslim community event in Junagadh city, which took place on 31st January. In the video, Azhari says, “The final battle of Karbala is yet to come… a moment of silence, then there will be noise again. Today is the time of the dogs, tomorrow will be our time”. A 22-second video of this speech is being circulated widely, while the original speech is 53 minutes long.

Mufti Azhari further said,

1. Placing an Idol in a mosque does not make the mosque an Idol house. You put 360 Idols in the Kaaba, yet the Kaaba remains the Kaaba. Hajj never stopped. (Does this statement mean that Mufti accepts that there are 360 Idols of Hindu Deities in the Kaaba ? What do Muslim leaders like Owaisi have to say about this ? – Editor)

2. Muslims are being killed everywhere in Palestine, Iran, Burma (Myanmar); but their death will not end Islam.

3. Muslims have to wake up themselves. No leader or opposition will come for them. The revolution will take place from the homes of Muslims.

4. They (Hindus) do not have the courage to convert mosques into shrines. You have left the mosques desolate. When the field is open, the dogs rule. If you keep walking in the field, the dogs will not stay.

5. O’ Muslims ! Don’t be afraid, God’s glory still remains. Islam is still alive, the Quran remains.

Junagadh Police takes cognisance

The matter has been registered by the Police and Deputy Commissioner of Police, Junagadh Hitesh Dhandalia said, “We have obtained the entire speech and sent it for the opinion of legal experts”. Action will be taken against those who show aggression.

Editorial Perspectives

  • Muftis who make such provocative statements should be banned. Only if strict action is taken against them, religious fanatical Muslim leaders can be stopped
  • If according to the foreign media, ‘Muslims in India are living in fear and intolerant Hindus are oppressing them’, then would such Muftis have dared to make such statements ?
