Publication of the book ‘Dagabaj’ revealing the true nature of NCP leader Sharad Pawar

Mumbai – Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, has concealed his dark side using power, his friendship with opponents, and the media. I have attempted to reveal his true nature. Studying Sharad Pawar’s six-decade political journey reveals him as corrupt and deceitful. I have been in the Nationalist Congress Party for over 20 years, serving selflessly along with thousands of young people for Sharad Pawar and his party. In the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, I started investigating the party leadership, the senior officials, and their public work. This critique has resulted in the book ‘Dagabaj’, exposing Sharad Pawar’s dark side,” stated the book’s author MB Patil during a press conference at the Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh during the book’s release. Senior social workers Surender Arora, RP Singh, Bharat Nichite, and Uday Kathe were present at the event.

MB Patil further stated,

1. The book reveals another realistic aspect of Sharad Pawar’s six decades in politics and public life, which is unknown to the common citizen. It discusses how Sharad Pawar deceived the common man, voters, youth, farmers, and labourers.
2. What exactly was Pawar’s contribution to politics and the country’s development ? What should he have done ?” This book analysed these questions. It is not just an opposition to Pawar and other leaders.
3. Sharad Pawar consciously built up his image. All his policies, plans, and programs are primarily for himself. He has not been able to achieve success for his State, country, or even his community, which is a reality.
4. ‘Dagabaj’ is my first book as an author and was published by ‘Aditi Prakashan Sanstha’. We couldn’t find a publisher in Mumbai; therefore, we published the book in Delhi.
5. The book covers various issues like Sharad Pawar’s stance on reservation, the Enron case, the Gowari massacre, the Maval farmers’ massacre, the plight of the tribal community, the name-changing movement, farmers’ suicides, policies devastating the poor Marathas, the scams of the cooperative sugar factories and the textile mills, Lavasa case and other land scams, irrigation scam, land scams in Mumbai, Shikhar Bank scam, IPL scam, fake stamp and ‘2G Spectrum’ scams, D plus zone and MIDC subsidy and land scams, agricultural loan waivers, and grant scams, along with the public feud between uncle and nephew in Maharashtra. It also covers the unauthorised and unethical takeover of various institutions like Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Vasantdada Sugar Institute, Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan, Mumbai Marathi Granth Sangrahalaya, Maratha Mandir Sanstha, and many more by Sharad Pawar and his family members.
