Mumbai – After Jarange Patil’s long march from Antarvali Sarati to Navi Mumbai, the State Government issued a draft notification to give Kunbi Certificates to all Marathas and their blood relatives in their family trees whose Kunbi-antecedent records have been found by the State administration. After the midnight discussion on 26th January, the amended ordinance of all their demands has been implemented by the State Government. As the demands were accepted, Manoj Jarange Patil cancelled his hunger strike by drinking fruit juice from the hands of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shinde said, “The Maratha community will be given the rights of OBCs and all the concessions of OBCs until reservation.”

1. Families of all registered people will get a Kunbi Certificate.
2. The demand to inform Manoj Jarange that Certificates have been given to 37 lakh people so far is accepted.
3. Shinde committee will not be cancelled.
4. A certificate will be issued to the blood relatives in their family trees and those whose records are not found, The Certificate will be issued on that basis by sworn statement of next of kin.
5. The subject matter of the ‘curative petition’ is in the Supreme Court. Free education will be provided to all the Maratha community until reservation is available.
6. Government recruitment will be suspended until a reservation is available. If Government recruitment is done, the seats for the Maratha community will be reserved.
