Gyanvapi mosque built over a large Hindu temple : ASI report
Indian Archaeological Survey report disclosed
Varanasi – A report by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has revealed that the site of Gyanvapi was once the site of a large Hindu temple. Hindu party’s advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain disclosed the information at a press conference after receiving the report.

He also said that the temple was demolished and its pillars were used to build a mosque. Hence, it is said that Vishwanath Temple’s existence and its subsequent demolition to build a mosque has been proven.
