Chitra’s appeal comes ahead of the consecration ceremony of Deity Shriram

Thiruvananthapuram – Popular singer from Kerala KS Chitra had posted on social media urging her fans to light lamps and chant the name of Deity Shriram on the day of consecration of Shriram Lalla at Ayodhya temple. Her fans congratulated the singer for the post but the opponents objected to it. Some users said ‘Chitra did not have to support Shriram Temple’, while others said “By supporting Shriram Temple, she favoured a particular political party’.

KS Chitra has been an active singer for the past 40 years
Singer @KSChithra, also known as ‘Nightingale of the South’, faces stark criticism on her Ramlala consecration ceremony post on social media.
She had advised everyone to chant Shri Ram’s name during the ceremony.

Chitra is 60-year-old and has been an active singer for the past 40 years. She is famous as the ‘Little Nightingale of India’. She has recorded more than 25,000 songs in various languages.
