ED raids TMC leaders’ residences in Bengal
Kolkata – The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday conducted raids at the residences of three Trinamool Congress leaders, including West Bengal Fire and Emergency Services Minister Sujit Bose, in connection with alleged irregularities in recruitment across municipalities in the State. TMC leaders Tapas Roy and Subodh Chakraborty’s residences were also raided. The ED team accompanied by personnel of central armed forces arrived at Bose’s residences in the Lake Town area of North 24 Parganas, Roy’s residence at B.B. Ganguly Street in Kolkata and Chakraborty’s residence in Birati in North 24 Parganas. The raids started early in the morning and continued for over 12 hours in the evening.
Action politically motivated – Trinamool Congress
While expressing his reaction to these raids, Bengal Minister Shashi Panja said that this action was politically motivated.
Robbers’ houses will be raided – BJP
Reacting to this, BJP leader in Bengal Suvendu Adhikari said that the houses of the robbers will be raided. The youth and people of Bengal want them to be sent to jail.
