North Korea fires 200 shells at South Korea
No casualties reported
Pyongyang (North Korea) – North Korea has attacked South Korea by firing 200 artillery shells. The shells did not land on the land but near the southern island of Yeonpyeong. South Korea has asked the 2000 individuals living on the island to evacuate. The South Korean Army gave this information. South Korea has condemned this attack and called it a “provocative act”.
In December 2022, North Korea fired shells at the seashore near the border of Southern Korea. In 2010 too, North Korea attacked Yeonpyeong Island, killing 4 individuals. Recently, an accord was signed to reduce the tension between North Korea and South Korea. But that accord has come to an end due to this attack.
