Ruling party grabs eight acres of Hindu family’s land in Bangladesh
Dhaka (Bangladesh) – A radical group affiliated with the ruling Awami League party in Bangladesh has illegally acquired eight acres of land belonging to the Hindu family of Rathindra Nath Roy. Even after complaining to the Police, no action has been taken. This incident took place in Parulia village of Hitbandh Sub-district. The family was threatened and attacked by religious Muslim fanatics.

1. According to a report published in ‘The Daily Star’newspaper, Awami League leader Hafizul Islam, Abul Kalam, Hazrat Ali and Redwan Ahmed are among those who gained control of the land. Hafeezul is President of Patikpara ward and Abul is General-Secretary.
2. Police officer Shah Alam said that we have received a complaint of illegal control of the land. Since this is a land issue, the Patikapara Union Parishad President has been asked to resolve it at the local level.
3. President of the Council, Majibul Alam, said that after investigating Rathindra Roy’s complaint, legal action will be taken against the accused if it is true.
