A teacher forced the students to wipe the tilak off their foreheads in a private school in Meerut, UP

An apology from the principal after Bajrang Dal’s protest

Meerut (UP) – The headmistress of Kadam Public School apologised after the Bajrang Dal asked for an explanation in the case of wiping tilaks off the foreheads of the students.

On 23rd December, some students went to school with tilak on their foreheads. That day, the physical education teacher asked them to clean the tilaks immediately. When the students refused, the teacher threatened them and forced the students to wipe off the tilak. Students came home and told their parents about the incident. The parents immediately gave this information to the provincial Bajrang Dal Student leader, Abhishek Chauhan. After getting this information, Chauhan along with his party workers went to the school and surrounded the headmistress demanding an explanation about the incident. Principal Parul Chaudhary apologised to him.

The manager of the school, Sanjeev Chaudhary, denied of any such incident. Female students were banned from bringing lipstick and kumkum to school because these things were found in their school bags. These female students gave wrong information at home about wiping off tilak on the male students’ foreheads.

Editorial Perspective

Such incidents occur in schools where there are Hindu teachers. This is the result of a lack of education on Dharma for Hindus. However, it is equally true that Hindus portray themselves to be more secular compared to other religions’ followers and end up committing anti-Hindu Dharma acts.
