More than 1 lakh people collectively read the Bhagwadgeeta in Kolkata

Kolkata (Bengal) – On the occasion of the Geeta Jayanti, more than 1 lakh people sat together and recited the Bhagwadgeeta at the Brigade Parade Ground on 24th December. This became a world record. The event was organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrit Parishad and Motilal Bharat Tirtha Seva Mission. More than 300 saints from the country and abroad were present in it. Apart from this, the Governor of Bengal CV Anand Bose, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and other dignitaries were also invited.

Organisers said that more than 1,30,000 people had registered to participate in the recital. During the recitation, 60,000 women did the Shankhanad together. This also became a world record.
