US lawmakers of Indian origin condemn the vandalism of a Hindu temple in the US

Demand strict action against the culprits

California (USA) – US lawmakers of Indian origin have condemned the vandalism of the Swaminarayan temple here by Khalistanis. US Representative Ro Khanna said, “Those who committed this act of vandalism must be held accountable. I am glad that the community is coming together against this act of hate”.

1. US Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi said, “We must stand united against bigotry in all its ugly forms. Those who did this vandalism must be held accountable”.

2. US Representative Thanedar said that this incident should be thoroughly investigated.

3. Barbara Lee, a US Representative of non-Indian origin, said, “Hatred in all forms cannot be tolerated. Those responsible must be held accountable”.

4. State Senator in the Ohio Senate Niraj Antani said, “The perpetrators must be caught and punished to the full extent of the law. We must root out and vanquish Hinduphobia from everywhere”.

The US Police said that as Police we are saddened by this incident. This incident is inappropriate and will not be tolerated. We have taken this matter seriously and are investigating it.

Extremists, separatists and such forces outside India should not be given space – India’s Minister of External Affairs Dr S Jaishankar.

India’s Minister of External Affairs Dr S Jaishankar expressed concern over the incident. He said, “Extremists, separatists and such forces outside India should not be given space. Our Consulate there complained to the US Government and the Police, and an enquiry is underway”.
