Our neighbour has reached the Moon; but we are yet to stand up on the ground properly : Nawaz Sharif
Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif praises India
Islamabad (Pakistan) – “Our neighbour has reached the Moon, but we are yet to stand up on the ground properly. We shot ourselves in our own feet, else our country would have reached a different level”, said Nawaz Sharif, former Prime Minister of Pakistan and leader of ‘Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N)’ while addressing his party workers.
Sharif further said, “In 2013, we were facing severe load shedding of electricity, we came and ended it. We ended terrorism from all over the country, and restored the peace of Karachi (Sharif seems to be joking – Editor). Highways were built, CPEC came, and a new era of development and prosperity began; but looking at the current inflation, we have shot ourselves in the foot. In 2014, inflation was at an all-time low. At that time roti was available for Rs 2, now it has risen to Rs 30.
