Karnataka’s Chief Minister Siddaramaiah uses a private plane to go to Delhi

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – A viral video of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his cabinet officials travelling in a private jet sparked a political row on Friday after the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) accused the Congress-led Government of wasting the taxpayers’ money on “luxury lifestyles”. At the same time, the State grappled with a severe drought after years of insufficient rainfall. The Government spent Rs 40 lakhs on this. BJP’s National Spokesman Shehzad Poonawala criticised the Siddaramaiah Government saying, ‘Milk and electricity have become costly in the State, and there is a drought; at that time the Chief Minister and a Minister travelled by a private plane and filmed that flight. The taxpayers fund all this. This is shameful. Please realise that Congress will overspend and splurge the taxpayer’s money wherever it is in power.
Ask BJP this question – Chief Minister Siddaramaiah
When the press asked Siddaramaiah about his travelling by private plane, he answered saying, ‘Ask this direct question to the BJP. Which plane does the Prime Minister use for his travels ? Why does he travel alone in a private plane ?
