Conspiracy of Waqf to seize the houses of Hindus in Sakhar Peth area of Solapur Municipal Corporation : MLA Prasad Lad, BJP

  • Threatened Hindus to leave their homes
  • The government’s assurance of thorough investigation and immediate action

Nagpur – Ward No. 281 and ‘City Survey No. 9980’ in the Sakhar Peth area of Solapur Municipal Corporation have been inhabited by many Hindus for the last 150 years. These Hindus regularly pay taxes to the Municipal Corporation there, and the 7/12 extract is in the name of Hindus. Despite this, the Waqf Board is capturing houses by giving notices to Hindus. Certain communities are threatening Hindus to leave their homes. Due to this, there is an atmosphere of fear among Hindus. Therefore, BJP MLA Prasad Lad made a statement at the conference. Answering this, Rural Development Minister Girish Maharaj assured that ‘immediate action will be taken after a thorough investigation in this regard’.

Giving more information in this regard, MLA Prasad Lad said, “Those who are responsible for all these things are the trustees of an organisation of the Muslim community in the service of the Government’s transport department. A person working in Government cannot become a Trustee. Despite this, they are trustees of this institution; but it is not registered with the office of Charity Commissioner. Even after complaining to the Police in this regard, they have ignored it. This has affected the law and order problem and Hindus are fleeing. However, the Government should pay immediate attention and give justice to the Hindu society.

Editorial Perspective

All Hindus must unite and raise their voices against this injustice.
