A young man who provided India’s confidential information to Pakistan arrested
Mumbai – The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad has arrested 23-year-old Gaurav Patil from his home in Navi Mumbai in connection with providing India’s confidential information to Pakistan’s spy agency ISI. He was caught in a ‘honey trap’ (strategy by which a man is lured by a woman). The Court has sent him to one-week Police custody.
Gaurav Patil works as an apprentice at the Naval Dock.

He was in touch with the spy agency of Pakistan through WhatsApp and Facebook.

He was in touch with three women through their Facebook accounts named Mukta Mahto, Payal Angel and Aarti Sharma. All three accounts were being operated from Pakistan.

The Investigation team has registered a case against a total of 4 people in this case. Of these, three were in contact with Gaurav Patil.

Gaurav had sent some really important videos and photographs related to the Indian Naval ships via WhatsApp to an unknown contact. He was in contact with these Facebook profiles.

Gaurav was being sent money in exchange for this information. This happened between April-May and October 2023.
The amount received by Gaurav Patil from Pakistan is now being investigated.
