Khalistani terrorist Lakhbir Singh Rode, nephew of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, dies of heart attack in Pakistan

He was the head of ‘Khalistan Liberation Force’ and the ‘International Sikh Youth Federation’

Islamabad (Pakistan) – Head of Khalistan Liberation Force and International Sikh Youth Federation, Khalistani terrorist Lakhbir Singh Rode (Age 72), one of the accused in the 1985 bombing of the Air India jet Kanishka, has died in Pakistan on 2nd December due to a heart attack as per the media reports.

Rode was the nephew of Khalistani terrorist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. Jasbir Singh Rode, former Jaththedar of Akal Takht, confirmed his death. On 4th December, a team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) seized Rode’s five and a half acres of land in Moga, Punjab.

Lakhbir Singh Rode had fled to Pakistan after the Indian Government declared him a terrorist. In the year 2021, Rode’s name also came up in the Ludhiana Court blast in Punjab.

Rode was forming Sleeper-Cells (Local groups supporting terrorists) in Punjab. He had also sent grenades and bombs across the border in Amritsar. Lakhbir Singh Rode worked closely with Pakistan-based ISI to disrupt peace in India. Terrorist Rinda was also in touch with Rode.

This Sleeper Cell has more than 150 members. None of the members of a Sleeper Cell knows each other. No one even has the mobile number of another Sleeper-Cell member. When arms are sent from Pakistan to Punjab, one or two Sleeper-Cell members know about it.
