6 Gorkha soldiers killed fighting for Russia in Ukraine war

Bodies buried in Russia !

Kathmandu (Nepal) – Among the Gorkha soldiers from Nepal who were recruited into the Russian army, 6 soldiers have died fighting in the Ukraine war. The Nepal Government has informed that the mortal remains of the deceased have been buried in Russia. Nepal Government is trying to recover the bodies of these soldiers. At present, 200 Gorkha soldiers have been recruited in the Russian army. Although the Government of Nepal has not permitted Gorkha youths to join the Russian army, these youths have been illegally reaching Russia and joining the army there.

Editorial Perspective

Hindu Gorkhas of Nepal joining the Russian army and sacrificing their lives is not a good thing for Nepal and India. Governments of both countries should try to recruit them in the Indian Army !
