Ghar-wapasi of a Muslim couple in Ghaziabad

Asif became Akash Chaudhary, while his wife Sumaiya will now be called Priya

Ghaziabad (UP) – A Muslim couple renounced Islam and returned to Hindu Dharma. Asif has adopted the name Akash Chauhan and his wife Sumaiya Khatoon will now be known as Priya. The couple embraced Hindu Dharma in a temple here chanting ‘Jai Shriram’ in the midst of blowing conch and recitation of Vedmantra. They made a conviction to live according to Hindu Dharma. This Ghar-wapasi programme was organised by the President of Hindu Raksha Dal Mr Pinky Chaudhary.

1. Mr Pinky Chaudhary said that Asif himself came to him and expressed his desire to convert to Hindu Dharma. Asif and Sumaiya got married five years ago and have one child.

2. As per the request of Asif, on 26th November, Chaudhary organised a Ghar-wapasi programme at a temple in Bhopura region of Ghaziabad.

3. On this occasion Akash Chaudhary who was previously Asif said, “I would always think that Sanatan Dharma is the best and holiest religion. Islam is not a religion”.

4. Sumaiya, who became Priya Chauhan, said at this time that Hindu Dharma is the best religion. In Islam, marital relations are terminated by saying ‘Talak’ three times. Now my family can lead a good life.

The president of Hindu Raksha Dal Mr Pinky Chaudhary said, ‘If anyone wants to return home, they should contact us. We will take full responsibility to protect and respect them’.
