Only the restoration of Hindu Dharma (Righteousness) can save the world and humanity : Mata Amritanandamayi Devi
Bangkok (Thailand) – Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, who is devoutly referred as ‘Amma’ all over the world, guided the morning session on the last day of the ‘World Hindu Congress’ on 26th November. At this time, she said, “We have gathered here today in the name of ‘World’s most ancient and noble culture’. Hindu faith is a confluence of various principles and values and has the potential to bring about the welfare and prosperity of the world. Sanatan Dharma has always been aware of the deep connection between a human and nature. It was Hinduism that gave the world the teachings of Dharma and Yadnya, virtues and self-sacrifice. Today in the world ‘love’ and ‘selfless service’ are disappearing. Only the restoration of Dharma can save the world and humanity. It is a need of an hour to organise such programmes with a sense of surrender !”

The tension prevailing in the modern world is due to neglecting Dharma
Amma further said, ‘All the stress in the modern world occurred is due to the neglecting and non-practicing Dharma. We accept man-made laws; but there is a Divine law on all of these which is why we can be woven into one thread. This is called ‘Dharma’. We avoid committing mistakes under the fear of man-made laws. Similarly, the world will have to suffer the consequences of breaking the rules of Dharma. Just as gravity is the law of nature, Dharma is the law of the entire universe. Governments can change a nation’s Constitution and laws; but no one can change the law of the universe i.e. Dharma. We should not forget that, when people move away from Dharma, all the problems in the society come to the fore.
Every human should practice Dharma
At this time, Amma told the example of Jatayu in Ramayan and said, ‘Efforts to stop unrighteousness are never futile. When we try to protect Dharma as per our capacity, Dharma protects us. Sages have given the name ‘Dharma’ and it works to connect mankind, nature and God through its beauty and perfection. Every human being should follow Dharma.
