Bangalore – Former Chief Minister of Karnataka and the State President of the Janata Dal (Secular) Party, H. D. Kumaraswamy recently alleged that he is being politically persecuted for raising his voice against the Congress Government. Recently a case was registered against Kumaraswamy for lighting his house on Diwali using stolen electricity. He had to pay Rs 68,526. After paying the fine, Kumaraswamy said that he was not at all aware of the incident. He claims that he was not at home when the lighting work was being carried out in his house. Kumaraswamy claims that the workers did this work without his knowledge.
As soon as this power theft case came to light, his opponents started raising their voices. Some miscreants even kept a sign on his house saying ‘Bijli Chor’ (Electricity thief). The Bengaluru Police have arrested 2 people in connection to this incident.
