Mumbai – The activists of MNS forced the management to remove the LED lighting wishing ‘Jashn-e-Diwali’ in Islamic style outside the famous Phoenix Mall in Kurla. MNS Chandivali Vibhag Pramukh Mahendra Bhanushali objected to the tag said “All feel bad when Hindus are celebrating festivals and hence all sorts of gimmics are played to show it down. Its a skewed mentality. We don’t want to insult any religion. But, we would like to be greeted as per the traditions.” He also asked whether the mall has tags for other festivals that begin with Jai Shriram.

They could have written greetings of Diwali in Hindi, saying ‘Dipawaliki Hardik Shubhakamanayen; but by writing ‘Jashn-e-Diwali’ they were purposely trying to instigate Hindus. MNS was not interested in such arguments, this would not be tolerated during Hindu festivals.
Netizens are supporting the action taken by MNS. Many have expressed boycotting the ‘Phoenix Mall’.
