Israel does not want to gain control of Gaza : Prime Minister Netanyahu
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
Tel Aviv – Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, Israel does not desire to gain control of Gaza, does not desire to govern it, nor does it want to annex it. In an interview given earlier by Netanyahu, he had said that after the war with Hamas is over, Israel will be responsible for Gaza’s security. In a way that statement could be taken to mean that they want to annex Gaza. The US is visibly backing Israel in the Israel–Hamas war. But recently US President Joe Biden had clearly said that if Israel tries to annex Gaza after the war; the US will oppose it. From Netanyahu recent statement it is clear that Israel has had a change in policy after the US opposition.

Palestine Authority of the West Bank could rule Gaza
While some officers of the US Government feel that the West Bank Palestine Authority should rule Gaza after the war. US Foreign Minister Antony Blinken on his recent tour of West Bank had spoken to its President Mahmoud Abbas about governing Gaza.
