Chennai Police expose a prostitution racket operated under the guise of ‘Wife Swapping’ parties

Chennai – Chennai Police arrested eight people, viz. Senthil Kumar, Chandramohan, Kumar, Shankar, Velraj, Perarasan, Selvan, and Venkatesh Kumar from a flat in the East Coast area of the city while uncovering a prostitution racket operated under the guise of ‘Wife Swapping’ parties. Women in the age group of 30–40 years were rescued in the raid. Those women were married, and it is suspected that they were lured with money. The Police thus busted a prostitution racket run in the name of such parties. Police raided the house as they were informed over the phone by the neighbours about the party. Police found many men in the house, where music was played and liquor was being served.

The arrested gang used to target single men and introduce them to a few women. They had even created a page on social media in the name of ‘Wife Swapping’ and used it to find their clients. They used to charge Rs 13,000 to 25,000 for a deal before introducing them to women. Once a man was trapped in the racket, he was lured with other women.

What is ‘Wife Swapping’ ?

Wife swapping means an exchange of wives. A married man has physical relations with the wife of another man while sending his wife to the husband of that woman.
