Museb lured the girl into Love Jihad through Instagram

Surat (Gujarat) – A Love Jihad matter has come to light, wherein a young man named Museb Jamshed Maniyar from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Maharashtra), lured a minor Hindu girl from Surat. He had created an Instagram account named ‘Kattar Muslim’ (meaning ‘Staunch Muslim’). He has been arrested by the Gujarat Police.

22-year-old Museb, an auto driver, lured a 15-year-old Hindu girl studying in class IX through Instagram. A few days later, he came to Surat from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and called the girl to the hotel where he was staying, to celebrate his birthday. He abducted her from the hotel and absconded. The victim’s family filed a Police complaint against Museb. Museb first went to Mumbai along with the girl and then reached the city of Ajmer in Rajasthan. About 15 days later, while returning to Maharashtra, Museb was arrested at the Ahmedabad railway station by Gujarat Police. The girl has been taken into custody and sent for medical examination. If the examination reveals that she was raped, Museb would be booked under the POCSO Act, said the Gujarat Police.

Though anti-Love Jihad laws are present in various States across India, religious fanatic Muslims plan Love Jihad conspiracies and even succeed several times. Hence, it is not enough to make the laws. The Government must initiate campaigns to spread awareness among Hindu girls against Love Jihad.
