Muslim girl throws black cloth at Shri Durgadevi’s Idol in the Navratri jagran at Basti, UP

Basti (UP) – In a shocking event, a girl belonging to the Muslim community created a ruckus in the ongoing Durga puja event in the Basti region of Uttar Pradesh by raising communally sensitive and anti-India slogans. On Monday, 23rd October, the girl barged into the event and threw black cloth at the Idol of Shri Durgadevi, and raised slogans praising Islam and Pakistan.

The girl got on the stage and snatched the mic from the person who was singing praises of Shri Durgadevi and shouted, “Islam Jindabad, Pakistan Jindabad.”

The incident is said to have happened during the ‘Jagran’ event which was organised in the Chowri Bazar area on 23rd October evening. The anti-India slogans irked the other Hindu attendees who immediately informed the Police, but the Police resorted to lathicharge. Later, the Police assured devotees to arrest the girl.

Editorial Perspective

It is shameful for Hindus that a girl can dare to do such an act in the presence of so many Hindus in the Navratri jagran. It would not be a surprise if the Muslims attack such Hindus who are not willing to do anything to stop insults to their religion.
