Two minor religious fanatics arrested for circulating offensive posts in Faizpur and Khirdi, Jalgaon

Jalgaon (Maharashtra) – Two minor religious fanatics from Khirdi Budruk in Faizpur and Raver talukas circulated offensive posts against Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Deity Hanuman through their Facebook accounts. The Police have registered a case and arrested them for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus. Currently, there is peace in both these villages and 2 riot control teams have been deployed. (Police should take strict action against such religious fanatics. Hindus demand that strict action should not be avoided just because the perpetrators are juveniles! – Editor)
Earlier in Faizpur, the devout Hindus went to the Police Station after a minor fanatic circulated an offensive post against Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. They demanded strict action against the fanatic. At that time, the minor fanatic apologised to the Hindus, saying that he would never post such an offensive post again.
The next day, the same Facebook account again circulated an offensive post about Deity Hanuman. Seeing this, the devout Hindus got even more angry. They demanded strict action against the fanatic.
Devout Hindus, followers of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and villagers staged a protest at the Police Station !
After getting the information about the incident, the local Hindus and villagers including those from Khirdi, Nimbhora, Waghadi, and Rembhota came to the Nimbhora Police Station and held a sit-in protest and demanded immediate arrest of the minor religious fanatics and registration of a complaint. At that time, Faizpur Deputy Superintendent of Police Kunal Sonawane and Assistant Police Inspector Ganesh Dhumal pacified the crowd and registered a case on the complaint of Swapnil Patil, a devout Hindu, and immediately arrested two suspects. The cyber department is investigating this case, Police said. (One cannot imagine how the Police, who register a case only after protests by devout Hindus, would be dealing with the ordinary public in the case of other crimes ! – Editor)
Police registered the case under trivial clauses even though the crime is serious !
Even though it is a serious offence for the 2 minor fanatics to circulate offensive posts denigrating Deity Hanuman and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the Police registered a non-serious criminal case against the fanatics under Indian Penal Code Section 153 (a) (causing enmity between 2 religions). Realising the seriousness of the incident, the Police should have registered a case under Section 295 (a) (intentionally insulting religious sentiments). As a result, the devout Hindus expressed their disappointment. (Had such an offence been committed by Hindus, the Police would have immediately registered a case on their own under serious clauses against Hindus. This shows the Hindu hatred of the Police ! – Editor)
