Despite being a majority, the mentality of Hindus in India is like a minority : Francois Gautier, French journalist
Francois Gautier, French journalist
Washington (USA) – ‘Hindus are the majority in India among a population of 140 crores. Hinduism is the third largest religion in the world, but the mentality of Hindus is like a minority. There is only a little brotherhood among them. This is a big problem’, famous French journalist Francois Gautier said in an interview. He had visited to participate in an event organised by Art of Living and is currently trying to get a donation from the US for the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum that he is building in Pune.
Hinduism is being attacked all over the world
Gautier said in the interview that Hindus should take lessons from history and fight back. Today Hindus are being attacked all over the world. Be it in Afghanistan, Pakistan, or conversion by Christian missionaries in India. Conversion has become a major problem in India. India is getting westernised especially in Punjab and South India.
Indian intellectuals go around the world and say that ‘Devout Hindus are as dangerous as Islamic radicals’
When Gautier was asked about Hindus around the world, he said that the Government sends some intellectuals abroad to create awareness about India among the people of the world, but these intellectuals say that the ‘Devout Hindus are as dangerous as Islamic radicals’, which is very wrong. There is no truth in this. Because Hindus never went out of India and imposed their Dharma on others. Instead, Christianity went to South America and the missionaries destroyed the culture there. Islam reached Egypt and destroyed its culture. Hindus never tried to convert others.
Hindus are the most tolerant in the world
Gautier further said that Hindus are the most tolerant people in the world. It is incorrect if someone says that ‘Hindu radicalism is on the rise’. It is for this reason that I am building a museum of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s courage was exceptional
While speaking regarding Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s museum, Gautier said, I respect him because his courage was exceptional. His courage was greater than intelligence; However, today Hindus are being so oppressed, inhumane attacks are going on, and murders and rapes are happening that the mentality of fear has developed among Hindus.
