Guna (Madhya Pradesh) – Hindu students wore a hijab and danced to a song from a Hindi film at Prince Global School, a convent school.

After the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad came to know about this incident they came to the school, protested and started shouting slogans. On hearing about this incident the Police rushed to the spot. The principal and other staff were suspended after the Parishad warned that the protest would continue until strict action is taken against the school principal and the others responsible. Vikas Shivhere the convener for the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, said that more importance is given to conversion rather than giving an education.

Editorial Perspective

Such schools should be de-recognised and other convent schools should also be investigated.
