Chennai – Madras High Court issued an order directing two BJP MLAs from Puducherry to return vacant possession of two acres of land taken away by them which belongs to Sri Kamatchi Amman Devasthanam. This land was illegally handed over to them. The Court has also ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department to probe into the matter and take action against the involved MLAs even under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act. A John Kumar and Vivilian Richards are the two BJP MLAs involved in this case. A writ petition was filed against them by the Devasthanam and V Velmurugan, a devotee.

The Court stated that MLAs are expected to be true and trustworthy elected representatives who work for the welfare of the people. (It is observed that many elected representatives are dishonest and untrustworthy. – Editor)

Editorial Perspective

Please note that Christian-elected representatives grab Hindu temples’ lands. Cases should be filed immediately against them and they should be imprisoned.
