A Sanitation worker sold confidential files of the Govt office to scrap dealer to buy alcohol
Kanpur (UP) – A sanitation employee, Mohan was selling the confidential files of the department to a scrap dealer and spent the money to buy alcohol for the last three months. The files which were sold to the junkyard included many files of UPNEDA, the Social Welfare Department, and several bundles of application forms for old age pension and family benefits. Some of these documents were recovered during investigations.

The incident came to light when a UP’s Non-Conventional Energy Development Agency (Neda) employee caught the accused sanitation worker filling a sack with files.
