Construction on the ground floor of Shriram Mandir in Ayodhya in its last stages

Ayodhya (UP) – A few pictures of the magnificent Shriram Mandir, being built on the birth – place of Shriram, have been released by Champat Rai, the General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Foundation. These pictures show the main door of sanctum Santorum on the ground floor. This door is 15’ in height and 10’ in width. On the lowest part of the door there is a carving of lotus flower, in the middle, an elephant with saluting trunk and at the top there is a welcoming female figure. The ground floor of the three-storey Ram Mandir is near completion. This ground floor is built on the support of 170 pillars. All 14 doors of this floor are ready. Foundation informs that the pillars will have figures of gods carved on them. Their target is to complete all this work of the ground floor by November.

50% of the first floor construction complete
According to the report by the Foundation, 50% work of the first floor is complete. They are targeting to finish the construction of this floor by December. The timber for the door has been brought from Chandrapur District of Maharashtra.
