Soldiers desire to install Shri Ganesh Idols in border areas
Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Trust hands over the Idol of Shri Ganesh to the soldiers of the Maratha battalion !

Pune (Maharashtra) – Soldiers of 1, 5, 6, 19 and 33 Maratha battalion of the army had expressed their desire to install symbolic Idols of Dagdusheth Shri Ganesh in various border areas. Owing to this, the Trust has given a 2 feet tall Idol of Dagdusheth Shri Ganesh to the battalion. The Trust has also given 6 Idols to the Maratha battalion this year, said Manik Chavan, President of the Trust. Sunil Rasane, Vice President of the Trust, Mahesh Suryavanshi, Treasurer etc. were present on this occasion.
This programme has been going on for the last 13 years. Soldiers of the Maratha battalion will install Shri Ganesh Idols in various border areas including Arunachal Pradesh, Punjab. Soldiers expressed their feeling that the installation of Shri Ganesh Idol in the border posts of Indian soldiers gives a different energy to the soldiers of the Maratha battalion.
