Cyclone Idalia wreaks havoc in the US

Washington (USA) – Cyclone ‘Idalia’ has wreaked havoc in the US. This cyclone has caused great destruction in 4 states of the US. Two people have died in the state of Florida due to the destruction caused by Idalia. After Florida, the storm moved toward Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. An estimated 4.5 million homes lost electricity in Georgia and Florida.

900 flights were cancelled due to Idalia. It is the deadliest cyclone in Florida’s 100-year history. In the wake of this cyclone, emergency has been imposed in all the four States. Earlier in 1896, Florida was hit by a very powerful and destructive cyclone known as Cedar Keys. 70 people died in this. Later in 2016, a cyclone named ‘Hermine’ had created havoc.
