Starbucks India feeding you Halal on the sly
Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s Activities – Brief News
Starbucks India feeding you Halal on the sly
Starbucks is the largest coffeehouse chain in the world. Tata Starbucks entered India in October 2012 as a joint venture between Starbucks Coffee Company and Tata Consumer Products Limited. It has more than 15,000 branches in USA, more than 1,300 in Canada, more than 900 in Europe and 254 in India. People in India view it as a luxury to visit such outlets. Starbucks outlets also offer a variety of snacks.
Mr Ramesh Shinde (Spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti) shared a video of a Starbucks outlet located at New Delhi International Airport in which a woman is heard asking a Starbucks employee if the chicken they serve is ‘Halal’. The Starbucks employee replies that it is ‘Halal’.

The woman then asks what options are available if a Hindu does not want to eat ‘Halal’ certified food. The employee is seen replying that only ‘Halal’ certified food is available.
When the woman further questions the employee about ‘Halal’ certification, the employee goes on to say that ‘Halal is what everyone uses. And that Hindus also eat Halal’.
People are being misled by using the name of FSSAI in this issue.
Also, at the end the woman asks – “Have you written anywhere that the products available with you are Halal certified ?” The employee only replies that they are following guidelines.
Starbucks is misleading Hindus and serving ‘Halal’ items on the sly. It is time Hindus stood up for their rights and demanded answers from Starbucks for this deceit.
Repeal the Black Magic Act, since it is treating a religious act as a crime
Filing a case for chanting ‘Mahamrutyunjay Jap’ to prevent accidents on Samruddhi Expressway is condemnable !
“Many accidents are taking place on the Samruddhi Expressway. The Maharashtra Government is trying to find a solution to this problem. Members of Shri Swami Samartha Sampradaya in Dindori (Nashik) recited the ‘Mahamrutyunjay Jap’ 1.25 crore times with the resolve of saving the lives of people travelling on the Samruddhi Expressway.
However Buldhana Police filed a complaint under the Black Magic Act, 2013, as demanded by Dr Hamid Dabholkar of ‘Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti (MANiS). Treating a religious act with the well-being of people in mind, as a crime, is a misuse of the Act.
This complaint is proof that the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013 does not only eradicate superstitions, but it also eradicates the religious faith of Hindus. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had staged several agitations opposing this Act. If anyone performs a Yajna (Sacrificial fire) for the welfare of the world, MANiS will demand the filing of a case even against the concerned person and create problems in the performance of every religious act. Therefore, such a black law, that creates difficulties in the religious rituals of Hindus and attacks their faith, should be repealed”, demanded Mr Sunil Ghanwat, (State Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti for Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh). He said he would soon meet the State Chief Minister in this regard.
Mr Sunil Ghanwat added that the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013 is against Hindu Dharma. If this Act is against cheating, financial exploitation or oppression, what is wrong if people perform religious rituals, praying, etc. with their own money, that too with an honourable intention of preventing accidents on the expressway and saving people’s lives ? Hindus need an answer from the members of MANiS and the Police, who have taken cognizance of such a complaint under pressure.
“Maharashtra Chief Minister and Dy Chief Minister pray to Deity Pandurang every year on the occasion of ‘Ashadhi’ and ‘Kartiki Ekadashi’ for the welfare of people and farmers, for good crops, and for the eradication of natural calamities like famine. Are the MANiS members going to file cases against these people too ?
Many Ministers perform ‘Shri Satyanarayan Puja’ at their residence or office to eliminate obstacles that may arise in an auspicious event they have organised. Are the MANiS members going to file cases against them ? How can one think of the welfare of people by filing cases against those who pray for them ?
This Act is being used as a weapon to attack Hindu Dharma. MANiS members have never come forward to file cases against Christian missionaries who hold programmes to cheat people by claiming to cure incurable diseases like AIDS, cancer, etc. though they have filed a case for performing ‘Mahamrutyunjay Jap’. This proves the Anti-Hindu Dharma stance of MANiS members. The Government should foil the conspiracy of MANiS and repeal the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013”, demanded Mr Ghanwat.
Jharkhand : Devout Hindus demand that the Waqf Act be repealed, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti leads agitation
Dhanbad (Jharkhand) – The earlier Congress Government had given unlimited powers to the Waqf Board by passing a Act. This Act appears to have been passed to protect the religious properties of Muslims. But this Act has been used to embezzle houses, shops, agricultural land and religious places of Hindus, and even Government property. This is a form of ‘Land Jihad’. Therefore, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti organised a ‘Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Andolan’ in Dhanbad and Bokaro to demand that the Waqf Act be repealed immediately. After the Andolan, a Memorandum was submitted for the Prime Minister through the Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Kumar Singh at Dhanbad.
