Panchayat of four villages to ban the entry of Muslim and Christian traders
Ashoknagar (Madhya Pradesh) – To prevent incidents of ‘Love Jihad’ and religious conversions that are plaguing the State, the Panchayat of 4 villages in Ashoknagar District decided to ban the entry of Muslim and Christian traders.
Referring to the incident of violence in Nuh-Mewat in Haryana, the Sarpanch of this Panchayat said that people who sell junk, quilts, blankets, cots keep coming to the village from other States. “These people steal, rob and take away our women”, he said.
All the villagers unanimously agreed to the proposal. Now, this decision will apply to 4 villages under this Panchayat. Banners and posters to this effect were put up in these villages on 7th August.
“Muslim and Christian traders are banned from entering the Dhaturia Gram Panchayat area. Traders are requested to show their Aadhaar Cards as identity proof before entering”, the banners and posters specify. When Police received information about this, they removed the banners and posters.
